Jessica Steps up as Director of Communications and Marketing

This article has been republished from the Summer 2013 issue of Communiqué.

Please note that this article was originally published when Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) was called the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA).

On August 1, 2013, CASLPA’s (former) Communications Specialist, Jessica Bedford, was promoted to Director of Communications and Marketing (congratulations, Jess!). Jessica has been with CASLPA for nearly a year and has been doing some great work since she arrived (the 2013 Speech & Hearing Month Campaign was her brain child).

You may have noticed that CASLPA’s Communications Department has been going through quite the transition lately. Krystle has moved to Africa, Jessica is stepping up as Director and there are a number of big projects on the horizon for the team (e.g. branding project, 50th anniversary, International Communication Project, 2014).

With all these changes and big projects in mind, Joanne (our ED) has decided to step back and take a big-picture look at the communications team before deciding what it should look like in the future. So, over the summer, Joanne and Jessica have been working together to determine who and what the team needs to be successful in the face of our evolving projects and priorities. Stay tuned for more updates!

In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments, you can reach Jessica at jessica@sac-oac.ca.
